Located in the heart of the ancient city of Xi'an, Beilin district has striven to create a high-level innovation and entrepreneurship demonstration area, placing emphasis on the creation of hard technology.
Since construction began on the Beilin University-based hard technology innovation block in June 2022, Beilin has signed block co-construction agreements with 14 universities and three research institutes.

Currently, 13 national-level innovation and entrepreneurship carriers and platforms, five demonstration platforms for incubators, accelerators and promoters of Qinchangyuan innovation-driven platforms have been established.
The district has also nurtured 586 high-tech enterprises, whose revenue exceeded 60 billion yuan ($8.27 billion) in 2023.
The district achieved a technology contract turnover of 24.2 billion yuan, with over 426 invention patents per 10,000 people and a total of 32,235 effective invention patents, the most among all districts and counties in Xi'an.
As one of the high-tech enterprises incubated in the innovation block, Xi'an Yangyi Information Technology Co, independently developed the "DEX Digital Transformation Industrial Software Platform".
The platform has overcome the challenge of managing a wide-area collaborative management mechanism for millions of parts in heterogeneous systems, filling industry gaps and achieving complete domestic autonomy and control.
Another company, Zhonghang Chuangshi Robotics Co, has targeted the rapidly growing demand in the smart healthcare market. It has mastered core technologies through independent research and development, obtaining hundreds of patents in 13 areas such as human-machine engineering, bioelectronics, and robot control, becoming one of the top 10 brands in the domestic smart rehabilitation field.
Beilin district will further strengthen scientific and technological leadership, promote the integrated development of education, science, and talent to advance new quality productive forces, and accelerate the formation of a new innovative development model focusing on university innovation, technology entrepreneurship, new industries, and urban integration.
