The Qinchuangyuan Xi'an International Entrepreneurship Competition came to a close on Oct 20 in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

The competition, lasting three months, attracted outstanding entrepreneurial teams from 14 countries and 37 cities in China. After intense competition in the preliminary, semi-final, advancement, and final rounds, 40 projects emerged as winners.

With a focus on information technology, artificial intelligence, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals, the competition aimed to promote the optimization and upgrading of key industrial chains and development of clusters in Xi'an and help it become a national innovative city.

During the competition, full-cycle tracking services were provided to over 120 projects, with close cooperation with nearly 30 incubation service institutions. Nearly 50 projects received investment and financing support, and five are expected to be established in Xi'an.

Starting in 2007, the Xi'an International Entrepreneurship Competition has been held seven times so far. It has attracted tens of thousands of projects from more than 30 countries and over 50 cities in China.

It has helped a large number of entrepreneurs take root in Xi'an and promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the city.
