To meet the travel needs of passengers, the operation times of Xi'an Metro lines 2, 4, and 14 will be extended during the 40-day travel rush.
From Jan 26 to March 5, the departing time of last train from Changning Palace Station and Caotan Station on Line 2 will be extended to 23:55. Specifically, the last train from Xi'an North Railway Station towards the city center will depart at midnight.
On Feb 4-8, as well as the first week of regular working days after the Spring Festival holiday (Feb 18-23), the last trains on Line 4 will depart at 23:30. The departing time of last train from Airport West Station on Line 14 will be extended to 22:50, and the last train departing from Heshao Station will be extended to 23:00.
Furthermore, due to various factors such as cultural activities, relative and family visits and tourism, it is anticipated that there will be a significant increase in passenger flow at Xi'an North Railway Station and Xi'an Railway Station. The same can be said for the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, Tang Paradise, the Xi'an Bell Tower, Yongning Gate and Guangji Street, which are all close to local transportation hubs.
Xi'an Metro will also implement measures such as passenger flow control based on the on-site situation.
