The 2024 Xi'an Chinese New Year cultural tourism event will last from Jan 18 to March 9, 54 days in total, with 159 activities set to offer locals and tourists a cultural feast that integrates history and modernity.

Eleven types of New Year lantern shows will be held at Daming Palace National Heritage Park, Great Tang Mall, Xi'an City Wall and other popular areas in Xi'an.
The city will also launch 34 opera performances, tourism performances, New Year concerts, and other activities in theater venues and leisure neighborhoods across the city.
Some 33 types of intangible cultural heritage and folk custom exhibition tours featuring Qin Opera and drum music, shadow puppets and paper-cutting, among other things, will offer up a rich feast of traditional folk culture.
In addition, the city will organize 24 types of cultural exhibitions, cultural creative displays, and calligraphy and painting New Year celebrations, as well as an online museum tour, fully demonstrating the beauty of national art and culture.
In addition, food culture will be showcased through 18 types of activities such as a reunion dinner, food skills display, and food appreciation.
Meanwhile, 24 activities including Chinese clothing experience, ancient-style travel photography, science and technology exhibitions, hot spring-related activities, and skiing activities will be organized.
