In 2025, the Xi'an transportation bureau will implement a comprehensive strategy to accelerate the city's transportation development, weaving a new three-dimensional mobility network.

Major highway projects, such as the Gaoxin to Huyi Expressway, the Xi'an City Ring Road (north section), and the Xi'an Outer Ring Expressway's expansion are set to commence this year.

The Huyi-Meixian Expressway and the Xi'an-Xingping section of the Xixing Line will be opened to traffic within the year, supporting Xi'an's high-quality development.

Infrastructure expansion will continue with Xi'an Xianyang International Airport's third-phase expansion project, Xi'an East Station, and multiple high-speed rail lines, including Xi'an-Yan'an, which will be operational this year.

Xi'an will introduce demand-responsive transit services, launch more than 40 new or adjusted bus routes, enhance metro-bus connectivity, and improve rural roads and logistics, ensuring a more efficient and integrated urban-rural transportation system.

The city will also accelerate the widening and renovation of narrow rural roads, upgrade key rural transportation routes, enhance equal access to urban and rural passenger transport services, expedite the development of rural delivery and logistics systems, and promote the integrated development of rural passenger, freight, and postal services.
