Xi'an's Spring Festival celebrations captivate tourists

The 2025 Spring Festival saw Xi'an once again captured worldwide attention, with over 100 reports from major media outlets such as People's Daily and CCTV covering the city's vibrant celebrations, showcasing its rich cultural appeal.

The 2025 "Enjoy Chinese New Year in Xi'an" cultural and tourism series featured 173 events across six categories, including intangible cultural heritage, gourmet experiences, lantern shows, museum tours, leisure activities, and cultural benefits for locals and tourists.

Highlights included the Chang'an Academy's singing party, with 69 immersive performances; the Xi'an Youth Activity Center's Chinese New Year event, showcasing traditional crafts; and Huaqing Palace's Tang Dynasty (618-907) performances, featuring dragon dances and acrobatics.

Xi'an's iconic sites also dazzled: 40 lantern installations lit up Tang Paradise, museum artifacts were transformed into lantern displays on Xi'an City Wall, and 13 thematic lanterns in Daming Palace National Heritage Park recreated the imperial splendor of times long past.

Beyond entertainment, Xi'an prioritized visitor comfort with real-time traffic updates, enhanced service points, and warm hospitality. International tourists praised the city, with travelers from the United Kingdom and Italy marveling at the seamless blend of history and modernity.
