Since the second session of the 15th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Xi'an Committee, the CPPCC Xi'an Committee members have conducted in-depth investigations and put forward suggestions on how to improve the city.
Over the past year, a total of 900 suggestions were submitted, of which 742 were registered after review.
By the end of 2023, all registered suggestions had been processed.
In 2023, the suggestions closely focused on five major areas, namely the development of Xi'an's economy, politics, culture, society, and ecological civilization.
Of the 900 suggestions, 181 focused on the construction of a modern industrial system, expanding investment and consumption, and enhancing the level of openness to the outside world; 53 focused on enhancing community governance capabilities, improving the public legal service system, and promoting administration based on the rule of law; 110 focused on promoting the outstanding traditional Chinese culture, increasing the protection and utilization of cultural relics and heritage, and advancing the integrated development of culture and tourism; 336 focused on delivering satisfactory education to the people, supporting the employment of key groups, enhancing the high-quality supply of public services, and promoting rural vitalization; and 62 focused on the prevention and control of air pollution, strengthening the ecological environment protection of the Qinling Mountains, increasing the ecological protection of key rivers, and promoting green and low-carbon development.
