The departure ceremony for volunteers to the 2023 Euro-Asia Economic Forum to be held on Sept 22-24 was held at Xi'an International Studies University in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on Sept 17, with 200 volunteers participating.

The forum, approved by the State Council, is a high-level, open international conference aimed at Eurasian countries and regions, with most participating countries members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

On behalf of all volunteers, Cao Shijing promised to provide high-quality services to ensure the success of the forum.

The volunteers underwent a two-day training program. A group of teachers was invited to provide training on subjects such as foreign affairs discipline, diplomatic etiquette, national security, confidentiality requirements, the situation and development of Xi'an, international etiquette, government protocol, emergency response, and more.

The 200 volunteers will serve during the forum's opening ceremony and some supporting and related activities. They will provide information, guidance, and translation services for attendees.
