The forum, approved by the State Council, is a high-level and open international conference aimed at Eurasian countries and regions, with the participation of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member countries as the main body.
Established in 2005, the forum is held every two years. It has played a significant role as a platform for public diplomacy, policy coordination, investment promotion, and project matchmaking.
It has also become an essential platform for the national promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative, a critical window for Shaanxi's opening-up, and an effective carrier for constructing Xi'an as a national central city.
This year's forum will be a "1+13+1" model in the overall framework. "1" refers to the opening ceremony and plenary session. This high-level event is of utmost importance for the diplomatic relations among the participating countries.
"13" refers to 13 parallel sessions in policy communication, financial cooperation, trade exchanges, technological innovation, ecological protection, cultural tourism development, and people-to-people connectivity.
"1" refers to the 2023 Euro-Asia Economic Forum and Trade Expo and the China (Shaanxi) Import and Export Commodities Fair, which will help companies explore market potential and expand exchanges and cooperation.
Currently, everything is moving forward smoothly and with great organization.
