On Jan 7, the 2025 Urban Innovative Development and International Cooperation Conference announced that Xi'an had received two distinguished honors: the 2024 Benchmark City for International Business Environment Development and the 2024 Best City for High-Quality Business Environment Development.

Xi'an's districts also received recognition. Yanta district was awarded the 2024 Benchmark District for International Business Environment Development, Weiyang district was among the Top 10 Districts for Business Environment, and Yanliang district was the 2024 Best District for High-Quality Business Environment Development.
These accolades reflect Xi'an's relentless efforts to establish itself as a business-friendly hub with innovative governance, corporate-friendly policies, and efficient administrative services.
As the starting point of the Ancient Silk Road and a crucial node along the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Xi'an has achieved remarkable milestones. In 2024, the Kazakhstan Xi'an Terminal became operational, facilitating global trade.

The city now boasts 110 international air routes connecting 54 cities across 27 countries involved in the BRI, with full passenger route coverage to Central Asia. Meanwhile, Xi'an's China-Europe freight trains operated over 4,900 trips in 2024, reinforcing the city's status as a logistics leader.
With 3.27 million market entities in 2024, Xi'an achieved record growth. By fostering industrial collaboration, supporting 15,000 high-tech firms, and establishing a pioneering talent development fund, the city has laid a solid foundation for innovation-driven growth.
Xi'an's business-friendly environment, digitalized governance, and policy reforms are models for other cities nationwide and set a benchmark for international collaboration and sustainable development.
