The 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide, released on Jan 6, celebrated its 8th annual edition. It lists 370 high-quality restaurants in 34 cities worldwide. Six restaurants from Xi'an earned a coveted spot, showcasing the city's rich culinary heritage.

The Xi'an honorees, all ranked as one-diamond establishments, include Chang'an Hui–Original Shaanxi Cuisine, Beijing Kitchen (SKP store), Gastro Esthetics at Dadong (SKP store), Lotus Western Cuisine, Mingjia (Qujiang store), and Xi'an Tanghua Hualuxe Hotel-Caifenglou Chinese Restaurant. Notably, Lotus Western Cuisine has made the list for eight consecutive years.

Chang'an Hui – Original Shaanxi Cuisine's signature dishes, such as gourd chicken, Chang'an Jiudingpan, braised pork with crab shell cake, and turmeric turtle paomo are highly recommended by patrons. Renowned for its creative, refined offerings and serene ambiance, the restaurant is a favorite among locals and visitors.

"Shaanxi cuisine, as a vital branch of Chinese food culture, captivates diners with its unique flavors and deep heritage," said Yuan Wei, the restaurant's executive chef. He also revealed plans to open a new branch this year, continuing to innovate and promote Shaanxi cuisine.

The 2025 Black Pearl Restaurant Guide highlights a record number of international Chinese restaurants, solidifying the Black Pearl's growing influence and value in the global dining scene.
