As Chinese New Year approaches, Xi'an is embracing a rich festive atmosphere. Red lantern markets, bustling New Year fairs, and vibrant shopping centers dedicated to holiday essentials are transforming the ancient city into a celebration of tradition and joy.

On Jan 1, the iconic Sanfuwan Lantern Market, located on Changying West Road, was a sea of red. Traditional round lanterns radiating joy and good fortune stood alongside intricately designed snake-shaped lanterns, symbolizing the upcoming Year of the Snake. Visitors admired the exquisite craftsmanship, making the market a vibrant stage for cultural heritage.
Meanwhile, the second Chinese New Year Goods Festival in Chang'an district, which will last until Jan 27, has drawn crowds eager to stock up on traditional delicacies. Aromatic cured meats, sizzling sausages, and flavorful snacks are among the highlights. Alongside these are international treats like Russian candies and premium nuts, meeting the diverse needs of consumers.
Shopping malls across Xi'an are also joining in the festivities, setting up holiday zones brimming with New Year essentials. Decorated with red banners and cheerful tunes, these zones offer undeniable convenience.

Adding to the excitement, the Xi'an City Wall Lantern Festival will feature replicas of 38 museum artifacts and thematic displays in iconic locations like the Tang Paradise, and the Daming Palace event will be held. These events seamlessly blend tradition and modernity, making Xi'an a beacon of festive celebration.
