This year, Xi'an has seen a significant rise in the export of its "new trio" products, including electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries and photovoltaic (PV) products, while emerging sectors like cross-border e-commerce and second-hand vehicle exports have grown rapidly. These developments are key in strengthening Xi'an's position as a major inland hub for reform and opening up.

The Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park has become a critical export center for new energy vehicles to Central Asia, sending up to eight dedicated trains each month. The city's vehicle port has handled over 120,000 vehicles in imports and exports through multimodal transport this year. Xi'an has also established a one-stop service center for second-hand vehicle exports, fostering the growth of a second-hand vehicle export cluster at Xi'an Chanba International Port.

The city is accelerating the development of cross-border e-commerce, which was highlighted by the launch of the Cainiao Xi'an Non-Air Transshipment Center. It has expanded dual-channel logistics models, such as "China-Europe Railway Express + Cross-Border E-Commerce" and "TIR Trucking + Cross-Border E-Commerce". Between January and October, cross-border e-commerce trade exceeded 13 billion yuan ($1.78 billion), involving over 1,800 companies.

Xi'an's total import and export value reached 376.5 billion yuan from January to November, a 15.6-percent increase year-on-year. Exports of automobiles and electric vehicles saw substantial growth, with the "new trio" products contributing 38.86 billion yuan in exports – up 7.6 percent – becoming a key driver of the city's foreign trade expansion.
