Xi'an, formerly known as Chang'an, boasts a rich history spanning more than 3,100 years, with over 1,100 years as a capital city and serving as the seat of 13 different dynasties.

Along with cities like Rome, Athens, and Cairo, Xi'an is a historical convergence point of Eastern and Western civilizations.

Nestled amidst the picturesque Qinling Mountains and the fertile Weihe Plain, Xi'an exudes the grandeur of the Han (206 BC-AD 220) and Tang (618-907) dynasties, embodying a flourishing chapter in Chinese history and carrying the millennia-old cultural memories of the Chinese nation.

Throughout the city, historical landmarks serve as testaments to the brilliance of Chinese culture, such as the Xi'an City Wall, the largest and most well-preserved city wall in China, and the Terracotta Warriors buried for over 2,000 years in the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor.

Stroll through the ancient palace streets of Xi'an and you'll encounter a hub of cutting-edge technology, where traditional culture merges with modern innovations.

Numerous technological achievements bear the imprint of Xi'an science and technology, such as lunar exploration projects, the C919 large passenger aircraft, and the Fuxing high-speed train.

Throughout history, Xi'an has served as a gateway to the world, embracing cultures from all corners of the globe. Silk, porcelain, and technology journeyed along trade routes to Central Asia, Western Asia, and even Europe, leaving indelible marks on the local culture.

International events like the Silk Road International Expo and the Silk Road International Film continue to foster global exchanges.

Xi'an is stepping onto the world stage with its unique charm, extraordinary breadth, and forward-looking stance.
