This inaugural train service from Shaanxi to Belgrade marks a milestone in China-Serbia trade and international cooperation. Tailored to meet client demands, this initiative by the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) aims to facilitate the global expansion of Shaanxi products, supporting key project developments in Serbia.
The cargo is crucial for local projects in Serbia, specifically designated for the "Clean Serbia" initiative undertaken by Chinese companies. These projects will address societal challenges in Serbia, enhancing the quality of life for residents and allowing them to benefit from the convenience and advantages of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The China-Europe freight train, a flagship project under the BRI, is vital in ensuring the stability and efficiency of international supply chains.
The China Railway Xi'an Group Co has increased the frequency of China-Europe freight train services. Currently, 18 international transport routes are operational, covering major trade routes between Europe and Asia and establishing a cost-effective, efficient, and premium channel for global trade.
As of Sept 25, the China-Europe freight trains (Xi'an) have already made over 3,800 trips this year, consistently leading in key performance indicators such as train frequency, cargo volume, and container utilization rate.
