Since 2023, the Xi'an City Wall has implemented a comprehensive solution for the digital protection and utilization of cultural heritage, integrating functions such as cultural preservation, cultural tourism operation, emergency management, and flood control command.

By combining map space with sensory devices and employing digital twin technology with the internet of things, the Xi'an City Wall has enabled the seamless data interconnection and effective handling of alerts related to cultural preservation, flood control, fire protection, and security.

The three-dimensional data model constructed by the digital cabin has reached centimeter-level precision. Through technologies like unmanned oblique photography and IoT, precise models of the 13.74-kilometer Xi'an City Wall and over 30 ancient buildings have been created, along with the collection of 900 square millimeters of murals.

This not only marks a significant innovation in traditional cultural preservation methods but also offers new insights into the protection of cultural heritage nationwide, revitalizing cultural treasures through digital empowerment.

With over 1400 years of history, the Xi'an City Wall now benefits from a continuous "sentinel" surveillance thanks to a series of digital technologies.

Moving forward, the Xi'an City Wall will continue making efforts to strengthen technological protection. With the assistance of technology, this cultural heritage site will be better preserved and utilized, allowing more people to experience the unique charm of Chinese civilization.
