Statistics from online service platform Meituan showed that as of April 24, the pre-order volume for the upcoming May Day holiday for cultural and tourism activities (including scenic spots, accommodations, and transportation) across China had surged by over 190 percent compared to the previous week.

Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, was listed among the top 10 most popular destinations for the holiday, along with Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Chongqing, Changsha, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Nanjing, and Qingdao.
Xi'an, Xianyang, and Weinan were the top three most popular destination cities among tourists in Shaanxi. Chengdu, Beijing, Chongqing, Lanzhou, and Shanghai were the top five sources of travelers to the province.
Activities such as hanfu photography are becoming increasingly popular among young people during holidays. Meituan's data showed that since April, searches for hanfu makeup and attire have increased by 136 percent compared to the previous year, with Xi'an, Luoyang, and Suzhou ranking as the top three cities in terms of search popularity.
