Since the beginning of this year, Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, has improved its transportation infrastructure and formed a modern comprehensive transportation network that is efficient and convenient.
The Xi'an-Shiyan High-speed Railway (Shaanxi section) is currently under construction. After opening, the transportation time from Xi'an to Shiyan will be cut to less than one hour, and the travel time from Xi'an to Wuhan will also be shortened to about 2.5 hours.

Additionally, the much-anticipated third-phase expansion project of Xi'an Xianyang International Airport is now in full swing. It is expected that this project will be ready for operation by the end of 2024, and that the airport's business scale will see an exponential rise.
The airport's annual passenger throughput is estimated to reach 83 million after the completion of the third-phase expansion project. Its cargo and mail throughput is also expected to reach 1 million metric tons once at full capacity.
This year, the airport has newly opened or resumed 25 routes to Europe, Oceania and other destinations, while the number of the airport's domestic and international navigation points has increased to 170.
Meanwhile, construction on Xi'an's Metro Ring Line 8, Line 10, and Line 15 are progressing in an orderly manner.

Currently, nine metro lines in Xi'an are in operation, with a total mileage of 311 kilometers, ranking 11th in the country. Rail transit has effectively driven the rapid economic development of Xi'an and enhanced the city's position as a national central city.
This year, a total of 508 municipal road projects have been carried out within the city, with 230 projects completed. The city has also started construction on 21,199 public parking spaces, and built seven P+R parking lots around existing metro stations.
Moving forward, Xi'an will continue to optimize its transportation network with a focus on major strategic goals, such as the high-quality development of the Xi'an metropolitan area, and the integrated development of Xi'an and Xixian New Area.
