World Affairs Press and Xi'an University of Finance and Economics held the award ceremony of the first Silk Road Cultural Stories Creative Design Competition and the opening ceremony of the award-winning works exhibition at the Xi'an Art Museum on Dec 15.

Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives Wang Lixin, Pakistani Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, and Chinese Consul General in Almaty Jiang Wei delivered speeches via video link.

Relevant leaders from Xi'an and Dunhuang cities, local intangible cultural heritage inheritors, university teachers and students, and media representatives attended the event.

The competition finally selected one gold, five silver, and 10 bronze medals in the cultural and creative design category, and one gold, one silver, and two bronze medals in the short video creation category.

In addition to the display of the outstanding works of the competition, intangible cultural heritages, Dunhuang cultural and creative products and art works from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Nepal, Iran and other countries were also put on display.

The exhibition will run until the end of December.

At the event, World Affairs Press signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Xi'an Cultural Creative Industry Association and Dunhuang Culture & Tourism Group, and jointly released cultural innovation products and the IP image of the Silk Road Envoy.

They will give full play to their advantages and continue to create a series of high-quality cultural products and creative works around the Silk Road theme.
