Special products from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, such as Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, attracted many visitors at the International Exhibition of Agricultural Products in the Yellow River Basin on Nov 10.

At the scene, Liu Mu (Chinese name), a student from Turkmenistan, excitedly said, "These products are all from my hometown!"

"Xi'an has become my second home," he continued, speaking fluent Mandarin. "Xi'an is the starting point of the ancient Silk Road, with a rich historical and cultural atmosphere and a modern and fashionable feel."

In recent years, China and Central Asian countries have deepened cooperation in areas such as trade, culture, transportation, and energy. Various types of cultural exchanges have flourished, making Xi'an a preferred destination for many Central Asian students.

Liu, who is currently studying at Northwest University in Xi'an, has been learning about international economics and trade, preparing for his future in China.

Liu has established his own international trade company and is also working on market development at another trade company, accumulating more experience for the future.

At the exhibition, Liu was busy talking with exhibitors from various regions.

During his entrepreneurial journey, Liu often collaborates with Chinese companies, transporting Turkmenistan's specialty products to China, and sending Chinese-made electronic and new energy products to Turkmenistan via China-Europe freight trains.

Regarding the exchange between China and Turkmenistan, Liu said, "In terms of cultural exchanges, I hope to promote the exchanges of different cultures, as more Turkmenistan students will choose to study in China and more Confucius Institutes will be established in Turkmenistan."

"I hope more Chinese companies will set up operations in Turkmenistan to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results," he said.
