A Shaanxi-Macao youth cultural and sports exchange activity was held at the School of the Women's General Association of Macau on Aug 12-15.

The event was organized with the aim of fostering cultural exchanges and mutual understanding between young people from Shaanxi and Macao, through various sports and cultural activities.

On Aug 13, students and teachers from Shaanxi and Macao gathered at the school. The event commenced with a cultural performance and basketball exchange activities in the gymnasium.

Students from the Primary School Attached to Xi'an Jiaotong University recited poetry. They performed a children's Qin opera, allowing Macao children to appreciate the charm of China's oldest traditional drama.

During the basketball exchange activities, the Shaanxi basketball players were generally younger in age compared to Macao students. Still, they showed no less enthusiasm and determination against the taller and more robust Macao team members.

Furthermore, an exchange activity for the game of Go, also known as Weiqi in Chinese, took place.

After the exchange activities, leaders and guests from Shaanxi and Macao presented certificates to outstanding teachers. They awarded trophies and medals to students who excelled in cultural performances and sports exchanges as "Shaanxi-Macao Exchange Ambassadors".

The Shaanxi-Macao youth cultural and sports exchange activity has been held for three years. Through various activities such as sports events, art performances, exhibitions, and the publication of a collection of works, the activity has promoted mutual understanding and communication between the youths in Shaanxi and Macao.
