In 2014, at the age of 15, she went to South Essex College in the United Kingdom to study health and social care. After graduating, with some medical learning and an internship under her belt, she began to apply to Chinese schools.
In the summer of 2019, she received the admission notice for the undergraduate program in clinical medicine at Xi'an Jiaotong University.
This year marks her fourth year studying clinical medicine in the school. She has gone through the stages of learning Mandarin and medical terminology, as well as the basic theory courses. She is currently at the stage of studying clinical courses and conducting experiments.
In addition to her studies, she actively participates in internships with medical charity organizations. In 2021, she participated in an internship as a vaccine assistant at the World Health Organization, which enhanced her ability to deal with social affairs through practical experience.
She says her four years of living in Xi'an have enabled her to gradually feel its true charms – adding that the city has a long history and brilliant culture, but also has the vitality and allure of a modern metropolis.
"Living in Xi'an is very convenient and I really like the not too slow or fast pace of life," she said.
"After graduation, I plan to stay in Xi'an and continue my postgraduate studies. I also hope that more international students come to Xi'an and experience the charms of China," she added.
