Xi'an International Studies University (XISU) kicked off its Paraiba-XISU Student Exchange Program on March 17. Fifty Brazilian students will spend three months at XISU, immersing themselves in Chinese language studies and cultural experiences.

This initiative marks a significant step in China-Brazil educational cooperation, with XISU providing diverse learning opportunities for the Paraiba students.
During the opening ceremony, a Paraiba Department of Education representative expressed excitement about the program, emphasizing that it offers Brazilian students a valuable gateway to Chinese culture. They also highlighted hopes for long-term partnerships and continuous cultural exchanges.
Students from both countries also spoke at the event. A Russian international student at XISU shared their language learning journey, encouraging the Brazilian students to embrace challenges and work hard. A Brazilian student expressed enthusiasm for Chinese culture and gratitude for the warm welcome at XISU, pledging to make the most of this opportunity and contribute to stronger China-Brazil ties.

Attendees enjoyed various performances, including a Sichuan Opera face-changing performance, traditional Chinese dances by XISU students, and a Brazilian folk song by visiting students, fostering a vibrant cross-cultural exchange atmosphere.
This program marks the first strategic educational collaboration between XISU and Paraiba, with plans to welcome 50 students annually over the next five years. Both sides will deepen cooperation in education and foster internationally competitive talents, further strengthening cultural ties.
