The 2022 commencement ceremony for Xi'an Jiaotong University (XJTU) was held at its Xingqing campus – located in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province – on July 2.

Wang Shuguo, president of XJTU, offered his heartfelt congratulations to the graduates.
Wang urged them to love life, work hard and achieve things worthy of their alma mater, society, motherland and their future lives.

More than 70 percent of the 4,150 graduates have chosen to continue their studies. Of those who have signed employment contracts, 237 are to be employed in key national institutions.
At the ceremony, 877 graduates were awarded the title of excellent graduate and 229 graduates were awarded the title of outstanding graduate leader. Another 25 graduates who took the initiative to work in grassroots units and national defense and military units in West China – and who were admitted as selected graduates – were commended and received awards.

On the day, the commencement ceremony was livestreamed on 35 platforms, including CCTV, the Sina Weibo People's Daily and Xi'an Release, attracting a total of 16.14 million views.
