Liu Che (156-87 BC) became the fifth emperor of the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 24) at the age of 16. He was a talented and ambitious emperor, and was known as the Emperor Wu of the Western Han Dynasty.
Zhang Qian was born in Chenggu county, Hanzhong, Northwest China’s Shaanxi province. He was an outstanding diplomat during the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC- AD 24) and a pioneer of the ancient Silk Road.
