It is a provincial and municipal key construction project, a provincial patriotism education base, a national cultural industry demonstration base, and a national 4A-level scenic spot.
The museum preserves more than 40,000 folk relic pieces from the Western Zhou Dynasty (c.11th century-771 BC) onwards - items which have borne historical witness to cultural exchanges and integration in China for thousands of years.
So far, it has received a total of 4.18 million tourists. It has become a beautiful calling card for the display of Guanzhong folk culture and a major driving project for Shaanxi cultural tourism.
