Xi'an Chanba National Wetland Park is regarded as an important part of the Chanba Ecological District and even the Xi'an wetland system. It is located in the delta of the Bahe River, stretching into the Weikou delta in northeast Xi'an.

The wetland park covers an area of 313.33 hectares, consisting of six landscapes and 10 experience sites and the park is also a national 4A-level scenic spot.
The large water area in the wetland park provides a good habitat for animal reproduction. It is one of the three major migratory bird migration routes in the country, playing host to a rich variety of wild waterfowl.
There are 200 kinds of wildlife in the wetland park, including more than 100 kinds of birds. With the change of seasons, birds such as egrets, cormorants and ducks make their home there, one after the other.
In addition, the park has more than 40,000 trees from 92 species, including weeping willow and Chinese ash, and 128 hectares of ground is covered with flowers, shrubs and grass. The water surface and vegetation coverage area account for 94 percent of the total area of the park.
