On April 28, ten projects with a total investment of 7.17 billion yuan ($1.01 billion), started construction at the Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

The ten projects include not only major industrial projects in sectors related to biomedicine, electronic information and advanced manufacturing, but also infrastructure supporting projects such as factory buildings, sports parks, and road construction.
The Tianyu minimally-invasive sclerotherapy treatment R&D and production base project will become the largest, most comprehensive, and highest-output value base of its kind in China, with a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan.

The Shaanxi Longxing circular economy industrial park project has a total investment of 204 million yuan, and is committed to creating a benchmark for the use of renewable resources in Shaanxi.
In terms of parks and infrastructure projects that are of more concern to citizens, the third phase of Fenghe Liangjiatan Sports Park will create a site with rural characteristics and provide citizens with a modern sports and leisure facility.
With investment totaling 528 million yuan, the infrastructure supporting the Caotang Science and Technology Industry Base project includes the construction of Caotang Sixth Road, Caotang Fifth Road, Qinling Second Road and Qinling First Road. These will all help drive development and construction and promote the further rapid development of the base.
