On Sept 1, the main bridge of the China-Europe Railway Express Xi'an Logistics Hub's Air-Rail Combined Transport Project was completed.

The bridge project is a supporting project of the China-Europe Railway Express Xi'an Logistics Hub. It is the first gantry pier top double width asymmetric concrete beam swivel bridge in China, with a length of over 1,200 meters.

Through the separation of the elevated bridge and freight railway, the project is expected to increase traffic efficiency along the Xi'an-Yanliang Expressway by 30 percent, while the travel time from Chanba International Port to Gaoling district will be shortened from 40 minutes to less than 20 min.

The project will allow quick access to various areas in Xi'an from the Xi'an Logistics Hub, including the Airport New City, Weibei Industrial Park, and Gaoling district, promoting the coordinated development of land ports and airports, improving transportation efficiency, and reducing transportation costs.
