The launch ceremony of "Silk Road · Poetry Road – Explore the Charm of Chinese Civilization", an international Tang (618–907) poetry promotion campaign, was held in Xi'an on July 4.

A Tang poetry promotion team will set off from Xi'an, head west into the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, and finally reach Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan, a key Silk Road hub in Central Asia, to promote Tang poetry and Chinese culture.

The journey covers the major inland section of the ancient Silk Road within China and extends to transnational cultural heartlands, mapping out the geographical landmarks of Tang poetry.

Tang poetry is a pearl of Chinese culture, with Xi'an focusing on advancing the preservation, inheritance, and innovation of Tang poetry, enriching its charm through technology.

As the event's launch city, Xi'an will expand its influence and showcase its cultural heritage and modern vitality throughout the campaign.

Xi'an has forged itself into a "Capital of Tang Poetry" rooted in its profound historical resources, stepping onto the global stage with openness, inclusiveness, and self-confidence.
