The large-scale water-light show Dream of Tang Dynasty has returned with a renewed edition this April, adding another benchmark nighttime cultural performance to Xi'an's spring tourism offerings.

Dream of Tang Dynasty is staged against the imperial garden landscape of the Tang Paradise, using the 300-mu (20 hectares) Furong Lake as its natural stage, and adopts a boat-viewing format that allows audiences to travel through the poetic and romantic era of the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

The show is equipped with a retractable water screen, multi-dimensional fountains, panoramic laser projections, architectural naked-eye 3D projection, and an immersive surround-sound system, with the main water screen reaching 20 meters high.

Breaking traditional theater viewing boundaries, the audience is fully immersed in the storyline throughout the performance, experiencing the integration of real and virtual scenes that create a dialogue between history and the present.

The show will enter its regular performance season from April to October, starting at 8 pm every night and lasting nearly 50 minutes. The timetable will be adjusted according to the peak tourist season and holiday schedules, with extra performances added during the Labor Day and National Day holidays to meet visitors' viewing needs.
