China's civil aviation began implementing the summer-autumn flight schedule on March 29.

During this period, China Eastern Airlines (CEA) will operate an average of 164 daily departing flights from Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, covering 79 destinations — 65 domestic and 14 international or regional — offering passengers more diverse and convenient travel options.

The highly anticipated Xi'an–Vienna international round-trip flight will launch on April 20, operated by an Airbus A330 aircraft with the flight number MU5063/4.

The opening of this route will not only inject new vitality into economic, trade, cultural, and tourism exchanges between China and Austria. Together with previously launched intercontinental destinations such as Milan, Budapest, and Moscow, it will further enhance Xi'an's international connectivity.

For domestic routes, the network continues to expand. Premium express routes such as Xi'an–Shanghai (15 flights daily) and Xi'an–Beijing (11 flights daily) operate steadily. Flights to key cities including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Nanjing have been increased, with seven daily flights from Xi'an to Nanjing, six to Kunming, five to Hangzhou and Yulin, and four to Guangzhou. A new Xi'an–Jiaxing route will also be launched to further enhance market coverage in East China.

For routes to Xinjiang and Xizang, CEA operates a total of 14 destinations from Xi'an, providing convenient air services that promote personnel exchanges and economic cooperation between border areas and inland China.
