Jensen, a university teacher from the United States, manages an international dining bar with Callum from the United Kingdom and Nick from France, creating their own Xi'an story.

Jensen enjoyed making cocktails when he was in the US. After coming to Xi'an, the city's inclusive and open culture allowed him to make many friends, including "bar enthusiasts" Callum and Nick.

Callum's grandmother is Cantonese, so he has a natural fondness for China. He is an English teacher in Xi'an who is interested in the integration of Chinese and British cultures. He loves to talk with friends and share life experiences in bars, so he became a partner of the dining bar.

Nick, who's interested in Chinese culture, has been in China for six years. He has carried out extensive research in bartending and French cuisine and has a lot of experience running bars. After meeting Jensen and Callum in Xi'an, they became good friends.

The three have a mutual Xi'an friend named Du Hongyuan, who owns the Red Oak Dining Bar. By March 2025, the bar had been in operation for over eight months. Callum said that their bar has attracted a lot of international visitors and has gained a strong reputation in Xi'an. They hope to attract even more customers.

To achieve this goal, the bar has launched specialty foods that incorporate Chinese elements, such as mooncakes with cheese filling and steak filling, which have sold over 100 boxes and have been well-received by customers.

The four partners said that their dream is to make the dining bar a platform for engaging in cultural exchange and communication, making new friends, and finding business partners. People who want to practice English and French are also welcome. They hope more expats will fall in love with Xi'an.
