Azerbaijan 166 International Logistics and Freight Co has achieved a freight volume of over 1,000 containers in less than a year since opening its Chinese branch in Xi'an.

Headquartered in Baku, Azerbaijan, the company is involved in international logistics. Its business spans Asia and Europe, with branches established in countries including Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkiye, Poland, and the United Arab Emirates.

Xi'an is one of the most concentrated inland logistics hubs in China, and the shipping volume of the China-Europe freight train (Xi'an) consistently ranks among the top in the country. As a hub connecting inland China with Central Asia and Europe, Xi'an can efficiently gather goods from all over the country and transport them to Central Asia, West Asia, and Europe through the China-Europe freight train, greatly reducing transportation time and the costs of cross-border logistics.

It usually takes two to three months for Chinese goods to arrive in Azerbaijan by sea. Through the China-Europe freight train, the journey takes approximately 20 days. Railway transportation also has significant advantages over air transportation, with lower prices and higher capacity, making it the most cost-effective transportation method for logistics companies.

Behind this surge in business volume is the close cooperation and hard work of employees from China and Azerbaijan, as well as the rapid growth of trade between the two countries.

A visa-free agreement between China and Azerbaijan will take effect on July 16, deepening mutual understanding and promoting cultural and trade exchanges.

The company plans to expand its Xi'an warehouse from 3,000 square meters to 10,000 sq m to meet growing business demand. With the increase of China-Europe freight train routes, Xi'an will become a super hub for China's opening-up.
