Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, has been committed to creating a favorable business environment.
According to data, from January to July this year, the city added 334,500 market entities, a year-on-year increase of 23.56 percent. The total number of market entities reached 3.07 million, a year-on-year increase of 10.01 percent.
Xi'an is integrating the innovation chain and connecting various resources, turning education, science and technology, talent, and the Qinchuangyuan innovation-driven platform into driving forces for the business environment.

As of today, there are 10,431 national high-tech enterprises and 10,186 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises in Xi'an. By the end of the year, the numbers are expected to reach 12,000 and 14,000, respectively.
Xi'an ranked sixth in the country regarding innovation capacity among national innovative cities.
The Global Science and Technology Cluster Ranking released by the World Intellectual Property Organization shows that Xi'an has risen from 40th in the world in 2020 to 22nd in 2022.
Xi'an is also becoming an essential hub for opening-up due to its location and transportation advantages, bringing new vitality to enterprises' development.

In the first half of the year, the China-Europe Chang'an freight train's trips and total freight volume increased by 46.2 percent and 64.1 percent, respectively.
During the period, and city's imports and exports with countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative grew by 37.8 percent.
As the leading force in regional economic development, development zones are pioneers in creating a favorable business environment.
Xi'an has issued the "Guidance on the Promotion of High-quality Development in Development Zones", optimizing and upgrading the operation mechanism of development zones.
The development zones in the city have achieved a series of reforms and innovations. By the end of 2022, the development zones had already transferred 2,902 social affairs.
