Xi'an, capital city of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, was awarded the title of benchmark city for the development of the international business environment in China on Aug 30.
The news was released at the Second Forum of International Business Environment in China held in Beijing, an event hosted by Global Times that aims to advance the international development of Chinese cities and build an international and convenient business environment service platform.

Also, Xi'an's Weiyang district was honored among the top 10 districts for business environment quality in China. At the same time, Airport New City in Xixian New Area of Xi'an won the title of demonstration county for the development of the international business environment.
In recent years, Xi'an's municipal government has prioritized the business environment's optimization and achieved remarkable results.
In the first half of 2020, a total of 228,000 market entities registered in the city, a year-on-year increase of 17.89 percent.

This year, the city formulated a three-year plan to optimize the business environment and promote major project construction. It aims to build a business environment with fast approval processes, affordable prices, high work efficiency and world-class service.
What's more, the city has also established an improved foreign investment service system and made full use of the cloud platform to provide global investors with online services to help companies solve various problems encountered in their production and operation activities.
