Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, was recently named a benchmark city for business environment in China, according to the 2021 China Business Environment Report released by the National Development and Reform Commission.

Among the 80 cities evaluated, Xi'an ranked 13th, and was recognized as one of the cities with the largest improvement in its business environment.

Xi'an's labor market supervision, handling of construction permits, government procurement, and protections for small and medium-sized investors, and more have been designated as national benchmarks.

The city's reform cases related to six indicators, including labor market supervision, government procurement, tendering and bidding, obtaining credit, protecting small and medium investors, and inclusive innovation, have been compiled into the 2021 China Business Environment Report 2021 and promoted nationwide.

According to the survey conducted by the Xi'an Investigation Team of the National Statistics Bureau, Xi'an's business environment has continued to improve, and private enterprises have a high degree of satisfaction with the business environment.

In the business environment satisfaction survey organized and carried out in the city, the satisfaction rate among business people exceeded 90 percent.
