The cultural tourism development seminar of the tourism committee at the United Cities and Local Governments Asia-Pacific (UCLG ASPAC) was held online on March 23.
The seminar was guided by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), hosted by the tourism committee at UCLG ASPAC, and organized by the Xi'an municipal administration of culture and tourism and the foreign affairs office of the Xi'an municipal government.
It is Xi'an's first foreign cultural and tourism exchange activity this year.

UCLG is the world's largest international organization for cities and local governments with members in 140 countries. Xi'an has been a member since 2012.
With the theme "Tourism promotes harmonious development, exchanges and mutual learning", the seminar included discussions of international cultural tourism exchanges and cooperation against the backdrop of the normalization of COVID-19 restrictions, as well as the innovation and development of the cultural tourism industry.

At the seminar, eight representatives of member cities, international organizations and cultural and tourism enterprises delivered keynote speeches.
With a rich historical background and abundant tourism attractions, Xi'an has in recent years been promoting its unique cultural charm, with tourism popularity continuing to rise. It has become a representative of the new first-tier cities in China and a popular tourist destination around the world.
In the future, Xi'an will further explore an innovative development path for the tourism industry with member cities and promote a new chapter in global cultural tourism exchanges and cooperation.
