The Third Silk Road Forum for International Cooperation and the 2022 Silk Road Economic and Trade Expo will be held in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on July 8-10, according to the host China General Chamber of Commerce.

The theme of the forum is deepening economic and trade cooperation among countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

With high-end dialogues, Silk Road cloud promotions, and negotiation and signing activities, the forum will showcase the new opportunities, achievements and business types of Belt and Road economic and trade cooperation.

The expo, which will be held at the same time, will feature display areas for the achievements of provinces, cities and autonomous regions, domestic products, international imported commodities, international production capacity cooperation and service trade.

Preparations for the forum and expo are progressing smoothly. The embassies of more than 20 countries and regions involved in the BRI have registered to participate.

The event has also received strong support and extensive participation from Chinese and foreign business associations, such as the European Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the USA International Entrepreneurs Association, and the China Myanmar Economic Cooperation and Development Promotion Association.
