An exchange meeting between enterprises from Xi'an and South Korea was held in Xi'an High-tech Industries Development Zone in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, on May 25.
The meeting aimed to further promote cooperation between entrepreneurs of Shaanxi province and South Korea in various fields to achieve a mutually beneficial situation.
Xi'an South Korea Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Association signed strategic cooperation agreements with Xi'an High-tech Enterprises Association, Holiday Inn Express Xi'an High-tech Zone and Shaanxi Foreign Trade Service Platform respectively.
They will jointly promote practical cooperation in the fields of business, logistics, electronic information, equipment manufacturing, cultural tourism, and science and technology education.
In addition, they will plan and organize the South Korean Pickled Vegetables Festival, South Korean Enterprise Product Exhibition Festival, and promote cultural exchanges.
In the face of the current COVID-19 epidemic situation, Shaanxi province has promoted the resumption of work and production of South Korean companies in the province, coordinated and solved their specific difficulties and problems, and helped them ensure production.
From January to April this year, South Korea established eight new foreign-invested enterprises in Shaanxi and the actual investment reached 48.07 million yuan ($6.74 million).
During the period, Shaanxi’s imports and exports to South Korea reached 29.34 billion yuan, accounting for 24.76 percent of the province’s total, a year-on-year increase of 43.34 percent.
