Hosted by the Xi'an municipal bureau of investment cooperation, an online exchange meeting for enterprises from Xi'an and Macao was held on April 29, attracting more than 90 participants.

At the meeting, Wang Yong, deputy mayor of Xi'an municipal government, said that Xi’an and Macao have been cooperating for a long time, especially in the areas of further economic opening-up, the introduction of innovative talents, the creation of tourism brands, and the joint construction of the Belt and Road.

It is hoped Macao and Xi'an will continue to cooperate and work together in areas like tourism, exhibitions, trade services and cultural creativity to jointly achieve mutual benefits, he added.

Feng Cuiping, president of Xi'an Commercial Association of Macao, said that the 267 projects being promoted by Xi'an at the meeting are highly suitable for investment by Macao entrepreneurs, and it is hoped that Xi'an entrepreneurs will also come to Macao for investment.

Li Ziwen, senior manager of the Lusophone Markets Economic and Trade Promotion Department of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, said the promotion institute is willing to assist Xi'an enterprises in exploring the market of Lusophone-speaking countries through the Macau platform.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, Xi'an municipal bureau of investment cooperation has continuously innovated working methods and accelerated investment promotion, contributing to Xi'an's high-quality economic and social development.
