Three new legal-related service centers settled in the Xi'an Belt and Road Demonstration Zone for International Commercial Legal Services on Dec 1.

They are the China-Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Legal Service Committee Xi'an Center, the Belt and Road International Lawyers Association Xi'an Center and the Belt and Road Center for International Commercial Dispute Resolution at Xi'an.

The legal services zone is located in the Xi'an International Trade and Logistics Park in Xi'an -- capital city of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

Approved by China-SCO Legal Service Committee, the Xi'an center will mainly undertake SCO legal service-related conferences, forums and training programs. It will organize legal exchanges and cooperation with relevant countries and regions that have dealings with the SCO.

It will have permission to compile and publish international trade and investment guidelines, foreign-related laws and regulations, legal service guidelines and economic and trade friction warning information -- to provide legal services and legal protection for regional commerce and trade.

The Belt and Road International Lawyers Association Xi'an Center will hold conferences, forums, and training sessions assigned by the Ministry of Justice and its affiliated institutions, as well as the Belt and Road Lawyers Association and the All China Lawyers Association.

With a focus on key and hot issues relating to international commercial legal services, it will provide legal services and support. These will include legal consultations, legal identifications and risk assessments for domestic enterprises in cross-border trade and investment.

The Belt and Road Center for International Commercial Dispute Resolution at Xi'an will provide international commercial dispute resolution services for domestic and foreign commercial entities. It will help minimize cross-border investment and trade transaction risks and reduce investment transaction costs.

To date, seven legal research and legal service agencies have officially settled in the Xi'an Belt and Road Demonstration Zone for International Commercial Legal Services.

Xi'an will introduce and implement support policies to attract investment for legal service agencies.

It will gradually develop the demonstration zone into an open highland for international commercial legal services based in West China. It will also continue to increase the influence of the demonstration zone in the country and internationally.
