The 16th China International New Energy Exposition (NEX 2022) took place on Nov 19 online and offline in Xi'an, Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

The expo was approved by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and was held jointly by the China New Energy Chamber of Commerce (CNECC) and the administrative committee of the Xixian New Area.

The event, which showcased new technologies, products and emerging businesses from home and abroad in the new energy area, created an effective platform for industrial promotion and exchange, and also demonstrated Xi'an's innovative practices aimed at achieving dual carbon goals.

At the opening ceremony, China's solar giant LONGi Green Energy Technology Co released its new technologies, followed by an introduction to the investment environment of the Xixian New Area. The new area was announced as the permanent venue for the expo.

The 2021-2022 annual report on China's new energy industry and proposals made by CNECC on new energy enterprises' fundamental role in preventing major financial risks were also issued at the event.

Since 2007, the expo has been held in Beijing, Jiangsu, Shanxi and several other places of China, and it has become an influential event in the new energy sector. This year's expo received more than 300,000 visitors.
