Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, is holding a series of themed activities to celebrate the centenary of the Communist Party of China (CPC), leading Party members and the public to learn CPC's history.

The city is using trivia contests, storytelling events, recitations and speeches to educate the public on CPC history.

Relying on the abundant CPC Party history resources in the city and the province, Xi'an will organize Party members to visit the sites of the red revolution, including the Eighth Route Army Xi'an Office Memorial Hall, and carry out thematic Party-themed activities.

A media event will be organized to conduct group interviews on the resources of the red revolution in Xi'an and to vigorously promote revolutionary traditions and revolutionary culture.

Xi'an will also organize and carry out selection and commendation activities for 100 outstanding Party members, 100 outstanding Party workers and 100 advanced Party organizations in the city. The goal is to create strong benchmarks and encourage advanced Party education.

In addition, classic red dramas and Qinqiang operas will be staged in communities, rural areas, schools and enterprises.

Meanwhile, travel activities focused on revolutionary culture will be carried out to cultivate youth's patriotism.
