Xi'an City Wall Lantern Festival

Locations: Small South Gate, Yongning Gate, and Heping Gate of Xi'an City Wall
The 2019 Xi'an City Wall Lantern Festival is under preparation. This year's festival is divided into five exhibition areas, namely China's Prosperity, New Year's Blessing, Ancient Capital Xi'an, Brilliant Colors, and Fairy Tale World.
The craftsmen, including art designers, bench workers, welders, paperhangers, and assemblers, are hard at work skillfully making colored lanterns to deliver blessings to the whole city, and enrich Spring Festival in Xi'an.

Highlights: Xi'an City Wall Lantern Festival and Nanjing Qinhuai Lantern Festival

Xi'an and Nanjing will exchange the lanterns with their respective characteristics, and place them in the corresponding areas. The design of these lanterns will integrate the cultures of both Nanjing and Xi'an, showing the profound historical heritages of the two ancient capitals.

Also exhibited are manual works and performances of intangible cultural heritages and special delicious food. All of which gives tourists visiting the two cities a feast of folk culture.

Tang Paradise Lantern Festival
Dates: Jan 28 - March 10
Location: Tang Paradise
Admission price: 60 yuan on ordinary days; 100 yuan on designated days
Over the last six years, the Tang Paradise Lantern Festival has accumulated a lot of operational experience and brand influence.

At present, the preparation of the festival has been completed for the most part. The festival is composed of five sections: Prosperous Tang Dynasty, Children's Playground, Folk Culture and Intangible Cultural Heritage, Spring Festival, and Water Borne Lanterns. With a variety of scientific and technological means, hundreds of special hanging and water borne lanterns will be exhibited, including Dragon and Phoenix Bringing Prosperity, Red Carp Celebrating New Year, Scenery on Silk Road, Phoenix Singing, Blooming Flowers, Lion Dance, Shopping Festival, Phoenix Dance in the Sky, Love of Swan, and Tang Paradise My Love.

This year's festival will last for 42 days, spanning Spring Festival, Valentine's Day, and Lantern Festival. On the first day of the Chinese New Year, tourists born in the Year of the Pig can participate for free with valid certificates such as ID cards!
