Xixian New Area, a national development zone co-built by Xi'an and Xianyang cities in Northwest China's Shaanxi province, hosted a ceremony for its key projects in the first quarter on Feb 26.
The event included a signing ceremony, a construction commencement ceremony, and an announcement on the completion of key projects. The event involved a total of 218 projects that have a total investment of 151.6 billion yuan ($21.06 billion).
Of the total, 88 projects were signed, including 78 industrial projects worth 60.72 billion yuan and 10 Qinchuangyuan technology projects. These projects will accelerate the gathering of innovative resources and entities to the general window of the Qinchuangyuan innovation-driven platform.
There were 79 projects that received commencement orders at the event. These projects have a total investment of 37.08 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 9.24 billion yuan.
Additionally, 51 projects were completed and put into operation. These projects had a total investment of 53.8 billion yuan. The operation of these projects will effectively promote the high-quality development of industries in the Xixian New Area.
