The groundbreaking ceremony for key projects of Northwest China's Shaanxi province in the first quarter of 2022 was held on Feb 7.
With a total investment of 154.3 billion yuan ($24.26 billion) and an annual planned investment of 50.9 billion yuan, 100 provincial, municipal and district-level key projects of Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi, participated in the groundbreaking ceremony.
Of the 100 projects, 39 were involved in the innovation-driven and manufacturing industries, with a total investment of 40.36 billion yuan.
Meanwhile, 41 were modern service industry development projects and social undertakings and cultural tourism development projects with a total investment of 65.07 billion yuan, and 20 were related to modern agricultural development, new urbanization promotion, major infrastructure and environmental improvement, with a total investment of 48.94 billion yuan.
During the Spring Festival holiday from Jan 31 to Feb 6, Xi'an's major infrastructure and key livelihood security projects responded to the city's call to continue operations and production.
The city will strive to achieve a 40-percent operating rate among municipal key projects in the first quarter, with an investment of more than 65 billion yuan.
