In order to ensure daily necessities for its COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control program, Xi'an – capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province – has issued a notice containing six measures to boost their supply.
Under the measures, the city is expected to improve its guarantee system for their provision on multi-level basis, to achieve full distribution coverage by establishing community-based and housing estate-based supply working groups.

What's more, the organization for the supply of vegetables and other daily necessities will be strengthened. Xi'an will guide key wholesale markets to increase matchmaking with the sources of their goods.
The city will organize the storage and dispatch of materials and implement a fast-track channel for their transportation.
Supermarket chains, convenience stores, fresh food stores, vegetable markets and key supply companies that meet the requirements for pandemic prevention and controls are allowed to operate normally.
Priority will be given to vehicles for transportation of daily necessities, to ensure smooth and efficient logistics and distribution links.
