The town of Shijingli, the first featured town in China themed on the Book of Songs, held a variety of festival celebration activities during the Dragon Boat Festival.
The “featured small town” is located on the banks of the Fenghe River in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. It opened on September 27, 2017.

Fang Lifeng, a well-known scholar of the Institute of Culture and Value Philosophy of Northwest University of Political Science and Law, gave a lecture on the foundation and origins of the cultural confidence in the new era, on June 8.
This activity was part of the series of cultural lectures held in the Xixian New Area that covers all the seven counties and 23 villages, towns and sub-districts of the two cities of Xi’an and Xianyang, Shaanxi province.

The Shijingli featured town held a variety of festival activities during the Dragon Boat Festival, such as a dance performance themed on the Book of Songs, the rites of the Zhou Dynasty (c. 11th century-256 BC), poetry transcriptions, and Chinese flower art activity, on June 7-9.
