The theme promotion meeting for a series of activities for the 2020 "Enjoy Chinese New Year in Xi'an" was successfully held in Beijing on Dec 29.

Employing a "promotion + performing arts + display" approach, the participants brought a cultural feast full of Shaanxi province charm, folk customs, and fashion.

The display of Xi'an intangible cultural heritage projects, as well as the song and dance performances of the Qin (221-206 BC) and Tang (618-907) dynasties showcased the profound cultural connotation, unique cultural charm, and special tourism products of Xi'an, the country's ancient capital.

The launching ceremony of the 2020 "Enjoy Chinese New Year in Xi'an" will be held at Daming Palace National Heritage Park.

From Dec 31, 2019 to Feb 9, 2020, 46 key activities and 255 theme activities, covering 13 districts and counties in Xi'an, will take place across the city for a comprehensive celebration.

To further expand Xi'an's international reach, 15 countries' ambassadors to China will be invited to the 2020 program of Xi'an's Spring Festival events, allowing them to experience the city's splendid culture and learn about the opportunities for Xi'an's vigorous development.

While demonstrating the rich cultural tourism resources of Xi'an, the promotion meeting also provided a platform for the cultural tourism industry in Xi'an and Beijing to explore exchanges and cooperation, enhancing the rapid development of cultural tourism in the two cities.
